Find a Career to Match Your Personality Type

Considering the fact that most people spend the majority of their waking hours at work, one can deduce that if you aren’t happy at work, you aren’t happy most of the time.  It’s no surprise that people feel disgruntled if their career doesn’t satisfy them.  That dissatisfaction seeps into people’s happiness on the job as well as off the job.

Any MBTI assessment test, such as our own, or any general career test, will tell you that different jobs require different traits and abilities.  For example, the traits and abilities needed to be a great accountant are different than those that are needed to be a great salesperson.  There have been many books written that correlate jobs with Myers-Briggs personality types, and college and high school guidance counselors across the nation use the Myers-Briggs to give career advice.

Take a look at our career list. Remember that the following are simply suggestions.  There are always circumstances in which people love and excel at jobs that are not listed under their personality type.  There are also circumstances in which one is very dissatisfied with a job that is often considered to be a match for their type.

The MBTI is often used to give people an idea of what jobs they may be good at or which jobs they may enjoy.  The jobs and careers listed in this section are those that have proved and/or are believed to result in high satisfaction and success.
